Plan B Hospitality Consulting was founded by Roger Young. In his 31 years in the hospitality industry, Mr. Young worked in food & beverage, operations and sales & marketing until reaching the executive level as a corporate lodging consultant. His executive positions have included Regional Service Manager for Best Western International, where his responsibilities ranged from hotel openings, quality assurance, staff training, brand compliance to revenue enhancements and marketing for more than 60 Best Western Hotels in the southeast.

Before joining Best Western in 1999, Mr. Young was the Regional Manager for Desai Motel Enterprises, LLC in Savannah, Georgia, which included six properties in Coastal Georgia and the South Carolina Low Country.

He was also the founder and president of Golf Savannah, a corporate lodging consultation company that marketed hotel golf packages. Additionally, Mr. Young was an integral part in the success of Golf Santee in Santee, South Carolina. Other corporations within the hotel industry for which he worked include Hilton, Sheraton, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn and Marriott brands, among others.

Holding a business degree from the University of North Carolina in Asheville, Mr. Young chose to continue his education and is currently pursuing his BS in Hospitality and Tourism from Columbia Southern University. Mr. Young also obtained several certifications from the Educational Institute of America, including the prestigious Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA).

Throughout the myriad of hotel properties and his work as a lodging consultant, Mr. Young has developed particularly deep ties within the Asian-American community and takes an active part in the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA).
