For the past several years we at Best Western White Columns Inn had the good
fortune to
work with Roger Young and Plan B Hospitality. The challenges of running a hotel
are
numerous. Roger’s knowledge and skills assisted us in better understanding
revenue
management, operations and design. To be perfectly honest, my staff and I never
completely understood all the rate plans on the Best Western system. As a result
we were
missing a lot of sales opportunities.
Roger got all our rates loaded correctly and doubled checked them regularly.
In short he
got them right and kept them right.
With guidance from Roger we were able to increase our presence on the internet,
which
in turn, increased our revenue. Roger also convinced me that it was time to
go up on our
rates significantly. I was worried we would lose business volume. I was wrong.
Our
property had an excellent 2005 and 2006. In July 2007 our revenue and bottom
line put
us in a position to sell our property with a good profit. Credit for a significant
part of the
increased revenue which helped the value of our hotel goes to Roger Young and
Plan B
Hospitality.
From a standpoint of wanting to deliver excellent customer service while increasing
revenue, Roger Young and Plan B will be an excellent choice for any hotel to
consider. I
